PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

Timing belt, system flushes, filters, belts and hoses, oil changes, and regular factory-recommended services maintenance is the single most cost-effective way to prevent expensive repairs. At Tunex, we believe it’s reasonable to expect your car to remain in great condition when you follow its factory-recommended service schedule. That’s why Tunex Complete Car Care offers a Factory Scheduled Maintenance Service Program. Our report provides specific maintenance requirements for your vehicle, including the manufacturer’s general recommendations.

Do the Right Thing at the Right Time! Tunex recommends oil changes every 3,000 miles, as well as preventive maintenance at the following mileage intervals for most cars: 3K, 6K, 15K, 18K, 24K, 30K, 60K, and 90K. We can also provide you with specific factory-recommended services for your vehicle, upon request.

Tunex-Services-AC-and-Heating

Symptoms: Bad odors, cabin air isn’t cooled or heated, low output of air

Your vehicle’s air conditioning system removes hot, humid, dirty air from inside the car and replaces it with cool, dry, clean air. Have Tunex check your air conditioning and heater before you get caught in the middle of the season.

Symptoms: Squeaking, grinding, brake pedal pulsing or soft, warning light

Stop by and get a full brake system analysis, which includes a full visual inspection of your vehicle’s braking system: braking hydraulics, brake fluid level and condition, master cylinder, calipers, brake lines and hoses, and wheel cylinders. We also inspect wear patterns, caliper operation, and hardware condition.

Tunex-Services-Charging-and-Starting

Symptoms: Dim lights, slow engine cranking or not starting at all, warning light

It could be an aging battery, starter motor, problem with your vehicle’s charging system, or maybe it’s just a bad connection. At Tunex, we test your battery’s condition and your vehicle’s charging system, saving you the cost of the guesswork and unnecessary repairs.

Tunex-Services-Check-Engine-Light

Symptoms: Check engine light, gauges fluctuating, air bag not engaged, or accessories like window motor, mirrors, or antennae not working

Today, computers control about 85% of vehicle functions including engine ignition, fuel delivery, emission devices, transmissions, heating and air conditioning, traction control, 4-wheel drive, seat position, mirrors, anti-lock brakes, alarms, GPS systems, speedometers, gauges, air bags, and even your alternator. As computer systems advance with every new model, you need the right experts to diagnose the problem.

Using our methodical, in-depth diagnostic process, we can identify any existing or potential problems with your vehicle’s electronic and mechanical systems. We won’t start without your go-ahead, though.

All Tunex Complete Car Care Centers provide comprehensive service for your diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicles. These vehicles are becoming more popular in passenger cars and light trucks, and maintaining them is critical.

Symptoms: Check-engine light, black exhaust smoke, lower miles per gallon, brake problems, burned out lights and blinkers, ineffective wiper blades

Since 1963, state and federal regulations have shaped vehicle standards for emissions. Let Tunex clear the air with a computerized engine analysis to identify emission control problems. We’ll make recommendations for service or repair so you can breathe easier.

Symptoms: Overheating, sweet odor, leaks, repeated need to add fluid

Overheating can damage the engine of any vehicle. Allow us to check your belts and hoses as well as your coolant condition and level. We’ll check for coolant leaks or other potential failures too. By performing this analysis, we find problems early and help you avoid costly repairs later.

Tunes-Services-Fuel-Systems

Symptoms: Knocking, sputtering, loss of power, low miles per gallon

A professional fuel injector flush cleans the system, improving fuel economy and maximizing your engine’s horsepower. Tunex recommends replacing your fuel filter every 25,000 miles to help keep your fuel injection system operating at its best, reducing the wear on your fuel pump.

Symptoms: Pulling to one side of the road, wear on tires is uneven, problems with steering

When you drive your car in a straight line, its left wheels should be parallel with its right wheels. If even one wheel is slightly off, you might feel like your vehicle is pulling or drifting to one side. Some Tunex Complete Car Centers offer alignment checks where we compare your vehicle’s alignment with the manufacturer’s wheel alignment specifications for your specific make and model to keep you and your car on the straight and narrow.

Tunex-Services-Tune-Up-and-Ignition

Symptoms: Check engine light, stalling, and starter grinding

What exactly is a tune-up? With today’s computer-controlled systems, a tune-up means running a comprehensive performance analysis on your engine and replacing and servicing the parts of your car that are most likely to experience wear. A Tunex tune-up includes not only routine maintenance but also sophisticated computer diagnostics to identify any problems that might prevent your car from operating at peak performance.
